Hello there! I’m Robin Michele Baab Olascoaga, RMBO for short!

Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, I have traveled and lived extensively across the globe, but have always stayed true to my Midwestern roots of working hard, being nice and celebrating the little moments of life.

My degree in journalism and early career in creative professional services —working for boutique architecture, package design and image consulting firms—prepared me for my ultimate dream job of planning, designing and producing events. But honestly, my best education has been my 20+ year career in hospitality industry, from my first job as a server at a sandwich shop in high school to my experience working at 5-star luxury hotels and catering events with acclaimed chefs while I was starting my event business, that has taught me my most valuable lessons—how to take the absolute best care of people, how to thoughtfully consider every little detail, how to strive for excellence in everything I do.

My greatest loves are my husband Raymond and my rescue wonder pups, Miles Davis and Nina Simone. You’ll often find us at home, jazz in the background and gin and tonic in-hand, rearranging and re-styling all of our furniture and decor or road tripping to our favorite little mid-century modern getaway in Palm Springs, celebrating every little moment along the way.
