Robin Baab Olascoaga
Founder / Creative Director / Principal Planner
Hello there! I’m Robin, but you can call me RO. I have been described as an imaginative designer, a detailed organizer and a proud and dedicated business owner. Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, I have traveled and lived extensively across the globe, but I never lost my midwestern values of working hard, being nice and always finding a reason to celebrate with loved ones.
My path to event planning and design was varied and vast. From a journalism degree to marketing and PR for architecture and package design to serving and bartending at world-renowned restaurants and hotels to wardrobe styling and fashion show production, I have spent my career collecting the experience, skills and perspective that would prove invaluable once I finally discovered my true passion: event planning and design. Once I did, there was no turning back! For 6 years as the co-owner/creative director at GATHER Events, I had the pleasure of helping hundreds of people realize their event visions and celebrate the most important moments of their lives.
At RO & Co. Events, I lean on my 20 plus years in the hospitality, creative services and events industries to dream up and produce truly extraordinary events. I am immensely grateful everyday to live my passion by bringing the soul of an event, and those celebrating it, to life.
My greatest loves are my husband Raymond and my boxer-pit rescue wonder pup, Miles Davis. You’ll often find us either relaxing at home with jazz in the background and a spicy margarita in our hands or road tripping to our favorite little mid-century modern getaway in Palm Springs, celebrating every little moment along the way.
