Colorful Seaside Santa Barbara Destination Wedding
Bright and colorful and brimming with personalized details, this Colorful Seaside Santa Barbara Destination Wedding was a dream! From a heartfelt ceremony set to a string trio, to a relaxed sunset dinner to a wild dance party, the energy and spirit of our youthful couple shined brightly in every moment. The ombre head table centerpiece and specialty margarita bar named after their pup were special highlights.
Hayley & Kyle’s wedding weekend was planned and designed from start to finish by Senior Lead Planner, Kathleen Britsch, of RMBO Collective. Pops of the couple’s favorite color blue were incorporated strategically throughout the day, from the floral to the paper goods and escort installation to the bridesmaids’ dresses to the groom’s tux jacket.
The ceremony took place inside the Great Room of the Montecito Club, with a large floor to ceiling picturesque view of the Pacific Ocean just beyond the stunning floral Chuppah. The entire celebration was a family affair starting with a heartfelt personal ceremony where each immediate family member offered their own personal spin on the Jewish 7 blessings of marriage. The Chuppah incorporated Hayley’s grandparents’ Tallits into the design of the structure.
Hayley & Kyle opted for a first look and most of the family photos prior to the ceremony, which allowed them to truly enjoy their incredible cocktail hour on the event lawn. An epic wooden circular bar was the space’s focal point surrounded by cozy white lounges with lush green trees and florals in every nook to create an elevated yet relaxed, California cool environment to celebrate and mingle. Moody jazz music filled the air as guests sipped on Maggie’s Margaritas (a nod to Hayley and Kyle’s sweet pup!) and enjoyed tray passed hors d’oeuvres. Custom cocktail napkins with the couple’s favorite song lyrics added a personalized touch to each bar space.
The al fresco dinner was accompanied by a gorgeous colorful sunset, which was mimicked by the vibrant ombré floral runner down the head table. Guest tables had a mix of high and low floral moments, each one more incredible than the next. After dinner, a saxophonist led guests into the moody ballroom with an incredible woodburning fireplace and a 10 piece band to kick off the dance party.
Before dancing got underway, the bride and groom gave a touching toast from the ornate balcony and everyone saluted with their own tray passed shot of Don Julio 1942 tequila. With that, it was onto the most spirited hora ever followed by hours of nonstop dancing. After a the crowd finale of Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now”, shuttles brought guests to the swanky after party at Hotel Californian’s, Blackbird. There, those who were still standing enjoyed late night bites, craft cocktails, and throwback tunes and lots more singing and dancing.
