Colorful Late Summer Wedding with Bohemian Accents

It was such a pleasure to dream up this colorful late summer boho wedding with our interior designer bride, Chantal. With her design sensibilities, two beautiful locations, colorful floral and citrus and boho details galore, this was one for the books. We are delighted it was featured in Brides recently. Here is the full recap of all of the juicy details!

    The Ceremony

Torrey Pines Reserve has always been a magical place to Chantal and Tyler and was a location they frequented. It also offered major wow factor with the ocean view looking over the cliff. We let the beautiful views speak for themselves, but added a hint of boho with potted cactus, wild centerpieces with pampas grass, and a fun welcome beverage area for guests to cool off before the ceremony began. This was the perfect intimate location for the couple to exchange their vows in front of a smaller group of 115 guests. Post-Ceremony, the newlyweds enjoyed a little alone time in their vintage Rolls Royce getaway car.

    The Reception

Chantal’s parents were married in Rancho Santa Fe and they decided to have their reception at the Inn to honor her parents. Decor and ambience were top priority for our couple. We created an eclectic Boho-Spanish-esque vibe and incorporated pops of hot pinks, hints of copper with old world crystal and candles galore. This gave the Inn’s blank slate a warm glow and inviting atmosphere. Guests dined al fresco under canopies of gauzy draping, trailing vine and wicker lanterns overhead. The dinner table centerpieces incorporated vibrant floral, juicy citrus accents and tons of glowing candlelight and reflective glass. The eclectic tablescapes mixed vintage china and glassware with modern flatware and napkins. Everyone said this late summer boho wedding felt like a romantic backyard feast. The beautiful cake was a real show stopper. The romantic outside hid a vibrant confetti cake surprise inside. It was not to be outdone by the bride and groom’s first dance which featured, you guessed it, a surprise confetti canon! It was a magical night under the stars.
